Mode of Action: Strong Abamectin is a contact and stomach poison that works by disrupting the nervous system of pests. It does this by binding to chloride channels in the pests' nerve cells, which causes an influx of chloride ions and hyperpolarization of the cell membrane. This results in paralysis and death of the pest.
